Welcome to the Charity Finance Group Board of Trustees Election Portal
Help shape the future of charity finance and leadership.
Due to the natural cycle of trustee terms of office, CFG has vacancies for individuals from four of our charity member organisations to join our Board of Trustees.
We invite individuals from within our charity member organisations, working at executive and non-executive levels, to nominate themselves to stand for election and, if successful, to join our Board of Trustees.
What we are looking for:
There is no single profile of a CFG trustee. We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. For this year’s election, we would particularly welcome candidates who can bring:
- A commitment to CFG’s mission and values, and a desire to help strengthen charities and the wider sector through good governance, effective leadership and sound financial management.
- Curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to learn, whether you are an experienced leader or at an earlier stage in your charity finance career.
- Fresh perspectives and diverse experiences, bringing thoughtful challenge, new ideas and insights from charities of different sizes, causes, communities and locations.
Nomination process:
Our nomination process opens on 28 August 2026 and closes on 28 October 2026 for this year’s elections.
Eligibility:
To nominate yourself:
- you must work for a charity that is a full member of CFG, and
- you must be proposed by an individual from a member charity, that is not the one you work for (if you feel that you will struggle to find an appropriate proposer, then please get in touch and we can assist you), and
- you must be eligible to be a charity trustee and company director (see declaration on the application form).
Elections will be taking place over the summer and voting information will be sent to the primary contact at each member charity by email – so do make sure your contact details are up to date.
